Here are some interesting uses of aluminum foil to make your life easier!
- Scrub burned pots Wad up a piece of tin foil into a ball and use it like you would a piece of steel wool. Scrub those burnt pots clean!
- Reduce ironing time Place a piece of foil between your metal ironing board and the cover. Foil conducts heat so if you iron the front and back of a piece of clothing at the same time you’ll get done that much quicker!
- Use it to tie things If you need to tie things up that will be getting hot like turkey legs, or anything else you don’t want to fall apart in the cooking process, then use a thin strip of foil to tie them up.
- Prevent yucky finger prints If your kids are in the middle of a messy project like painting or baking you can put a piece of foil over door knobs, cabinet knobs, and faucets during the process to reduce clean up time!
- No more yucky film on top of your soup Don’t you hate that?! Now here’s a way to prevent it. After putting your leftover soup in a bowl (or pot) cut a piece of foil to the size of the container and lay it directly on top of the soup. Then cover it and store as usual.
