Here is a website at Scholastic that my son’s Jr. Kindergarden teacher sent out to all the parents. It gives some very useful tips on preparing your child for Kindergarten and helping him/her have a smooth transition (especially if you’re moving to a new town this summer like I might be!).
Click here to see the first page and I highly recommend looking at the “step-by-step countdown” they have highlighted! It’s got some very useful tips you won’t want to miss!
In addition to these tips I highly recommend reading your child some books about going into Kindergarten. It will help them to see they are not the only one who will be going to Kindergarten, who will be scared, who will not know how to tie their shoes, etc.
Make this summer a fun one by reading these books below and seeing a whole list of fun (and some educational) things to do with your child this summer by clicking here.
